  2. And I am one who loves these lines, but don't like how it's almost become a cliche. I guess using them in different ways - especially poetically - may divert/undermine the cliche profile! Hopefully!

  5. I kept thinking of the lines from that old Simon and Garfunkel tune: Time it was, oh what a time it was, it was... a time of innocence; a time of confidences...

    The image with this is my father-in-law, just after his wife died of brain cancer; you can see the plants -- and he -- are beginning to look neglected.
